Practicing Physicians Advisory Council (PPAC) Updates

The Practicing Physicians Advisory Council (PPAC) is a congressionally designated committee of 15 physicians to advise Health and Human Services on matters of Medicare and Medicaid. I have had the privilege of serving as a member of PPAC from March 2002 through March 2006.

I have written these reports to communicate current information about PPAC with the physician delegates to the American Medical Association, state and specialty society officers and staff, and any other interested individuals. They are sent out by e-mail, and I have additionally placed these reports online at this site to make them more widely available for anyone who might be interested. They are listed here in reverse order, most recent first:

I very much have appreciated your input on the actions that PPAC has taken, what our responses to CMS should be, and suggestions for PPAC agenda items. I have found many of your responses to be very helpful in providing feedback to CMS. I no longer serve on PPAC, but you may still click on this link to go to a convenient online form to make it very easy to send me your comments or feedback.

Thank you very much,
