SMART COOL HAJJ COMPETITION: (GRADES KG & 3rd)
Project Deadline: Thursday, October 18, 2012- by or before 4:00 pm (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Be creative and do a unique and inspiring poster board display (size under 3 feet in length & width both) and must orally explain the event, the history behind it on any of the following topics ONLY:

• Ihram
• Zamzam
• Safa and Marwa
• Jabal Uhud
• Arafat
• Jumharat (Stoning the Shaitan)
• Muzdalifa
• History of Makkah
• The Prophet Mohammd’s camel's story
• Hagar's (RA) story
• Ibrahim (AS) sacrifice of his son
• Story of Nimrood
• Muqam-e-Ibrahim
• Hajr-e-Aswad
• Who was Sarah (RA)?
• Who was Issac (AS)?

Your projects will be posted in the assembly area for the public and you will be presenting those projects in your Arabic/Islam classes (as scheduled by your teacher) and on an assigned day or Eid ul Adha party. Winners will be announced, for the top 3 projects in each grade, judged by external judges.
Criteria:
1. A poster project based on a mentioned topic
2. Unique
3. Creative
4. Neat
5. No spelling and grammatical errors
6. Must be done by the student with minimal adult/ sibling/ friend’s intervention
7. Excellent Oral presentation

HAJJ KNOWLEDGE COMPETITION:

BASIC LEVEL: (GRADES 4th, 5th and 6th) & ADVANCED LEVEL: (GRADES 7th & up)

There will be an online quiz on Hajj knowledge on Friday October 19th, 2012 during the school hours at the school under the supervision of an assigned proctor. All students from 4th grade and up MUST participate. Top 3 winners will be announced from each level. Practice sample test daily on the school’s website.
