Synapse is a little-known film from 1995 that fell (loosely) into
the cyberpunk category, alongside such notables as William Gibson / Neuromancer, Blade Runner, Hackers, and others. A mostly cheesy, sometimes interesting film, it's really only known to this day to fans of Karen Duffy (and perhaps
Saul Rubinek), who
was an MTV VJ at the time and ventured into this, Disney's Blank Check, and Dumb and Dumber, as a foray into film.
Once the movie gets going, she holds her own, and makes for a pretty good leading / action performance for what is largely a really bad B-grade movie - marginal fun nonetheless.

This page has turned into more of a general Karen Duffy resource page, although it
initially started out as a page for Synapse (aka Memory Run) (1995).
It is very hard to find any images from this film, much less find the film online ... It is the only film where Duffy has a leading role.
Duffy
always had a strong star quality about her (known as well for her stint on tv in the 90s as MTV's "Duff"),
and there were those of us who believed that she deserved a leading role in
bigger-budget action films.
