After a week in New York I got culture shock, and had to be with something familiar. I have had this tendency to embrace the new, the different, constantly ingesting different, sometimes forgetting that familiar is also important.
I needed something familiar. Unfortunately, what this was consisted of fast food. At least it was something familiar, but in retrospect, it could've been a lot better.
There is so much that is different in New York City, it is like another world. A beautiful another world, so different from anything seen or experienced that it is like its own universe. It is hard for me to imagine familiar things within it, because I am noticing the different all the time.
It is part of my makeup. I have always been different, this is what I notice.
