Virgo Studio
Virgo Studio is a retreat of dance (once called "the super secret
belly-dance-club" by my friend Flo), it is not a business, but part of my
home, the studio was part of the property when we bought the house from
Teri Corbin. The studio was formerly known as Golden Ohm studio, and was
also the location of the first Farfesha studio. Now it is a place where
serious Middle Eastern dancers could gather without competition or drama.
Virgo Studio hosts weekly
classes of
bellydance, master dancers lead classes with no charge to them to use the
space (I take the class in exchange). With mirrors on three walls and
a sprung floor as well as heating and cooling Virgo is comfortable and
welcoming.
There is room for about eight or ten dancers, more if you
want to be very close ;) The small size guarantees an intimate
atmosphere where every student gets personal attention.
As this studio is not about money we can do what interests us. Virgo is
located in the
Ridgecrest/Nob hill neighborhood of Albuquerque New Mexico at present we
have four regular dance classes, see the schedule below. There is also a
DVD/VHS player and TV, for watching/working with videos alone or in
groups.
