DEATH of MRS. ODIE CHAPMAN

ARFHS is sorry to learn of the death o* Mrs. Charles (Odie) Chapman of Beverly, WV. For many years a noted local genealogist, the work or Mrs. Chapman, in collecting area cemetery records is unequalled. Mrs. Chapman was also active with the Stalnaker family association and the DAR. INK SPOT BURNS DOWN

The recent arson fire in Elkins has completely destroyed the Ink Spot printing company, who has printed our journal since the beginning. Jim and Zany, Gillespie have been invaluable in their assistance to the editor in preparing copy, "cleaning up" submitted copy, typesetting, and offering general advice. The Gillespies deserve part of the credit for the past issues of ARA, and it is hoped that they will be back in gear soon.
