This cemetery is located in Batton Hollow on the Hastings Run Rd. It is in the head of the hollow in the front yard of a small white house. The cemetery cannot be seen going into the hollow as it is above and at the edge of the road. The original reading for this cemetery was taken from "Where They Lie - Cemeteries in Southern Harrison County" by Barbara Price - Tharp, 1984, pgs. 170-172. Tharp's information came from personal visitation and Guy Tetrick's records of 8 Oct. 1933. She states that there are only 18 graves marked with stones. When visited in 1994 and again in 1995, by Linda Meyers and Nancy Jackson, the cemetery was found to be in extremely poor condition. This cemetery is probably located on property which once belonged to Abraham Batton/Batten who married Sarah Middleton. Information in parenthesis has been added by Linda Meyers.
