3-11-1871 p. 2 Aaron M. Linger (Georgetown, Lewis Co., WV) married Anna T. Mace (Hackers Valley, Webster Co., WV) 16 FEB 1871. Rev. J. K. Hedges officiating.

2-10-1872 p. 2 Jonas C. Shreeder married Caroline Clifton at the residence of the bride's father in Webster Co., WV on ? Jan 1872, the Rev. S. Black officiating.

6-8-1872 p. 8 Benjamin Clifton married Martha Jane Barnett 2 MAY 1872, Rev. Samuel Black officiating. (Webster or Nicholas Co.?)

8-30-1873 p. 3 Edward Morton, Esq. was born in Pendleton Co., VA on 24 APR 1811 and married Miss Mary Ann .... on 22 FEB 1844. They moved to Webster Co., VA in October of 1847. He died 26 JAN 1873, leaving a widow, 2 sons and daughter.

6-20-1876 p. 8 William Boggs married Margaret Berry on 1 JUN 1876, at the residence of the bride's father. Rev. A S. Bowles officiated. William and Margaret were both from Webster Co..

3-10-1877 p. 3 Louisa Morton was born in Highland Co., VA and moved with her parents to Strouds Creek in Webster Co. sometime before 1867. She died 6 JAN 1877.

10-6-1877 p. 5 A. Can. Pugh and Roenar Cowger were married at the bride's father's residence in Webster Co. on 23 AUG 1877. Rev. Walden also performed two marriages on 26 AUG 1877 at Peter Anderson's. All of the parties were from Webster Co.. Hazell W. Cowger married Miss Mary Cowger and Elias Anderson married Sarah Cowger.

3-1-1879 p. 3 James Dyer was born in Pendleton Co., VA on 25 FEB 1799 and died in Webster Co., WV on 25 FEB 1879. He married Margaret Sawyers on 1 JUN 1827 He was survived by a large family of grown children.

2-7-1885 p: 5 Francis Gideon Morton was born in Highland Co, VA on 13 MAR 1847 and came to Nicholas (now Webster) Co the following November. He married Amanda Melvina Young 18 MAY 1871. He later lived in Braxton Co., and died 14 JUL 1884. His wife and 3 sons survive.

9-24-1887 p. 11 Mary E. Gaines, the daughter of Daniel and A. J. Snyder, was born 8 OCT 1858 at Hackers Valley in Webster Co.. She married Andrew B. Gaines 30 SEP 1884 and died 14 MAY 1887.
