5.0) How to Help Save Strange Luck

5.1) Has Strange Luck been renewed for a second season?

No. FOX officially canceled Strange Luck. However, there is still hope for
renewal. We need to let FOX know how much we love Strange Luck and not give up.
We can renew Strange Luck if everyone pulls together and we try.

5.2) How can I contact the people at FOX?

       5.1.1) FOX's email address

1) foxnet@delphi.com
2) foxbugs@foxnetwork.com
3) LAVACCARE@delphi.com (this address gets the most response)

5.1.2) FOX's snail mail address and telephone number

Editor's Note: The following was taken from Kathleen's SOS-SL page.

One of the best ways I've been told to get the attention of network executives
is to write them handwritten letters via the US postal service. DO NOT put
"Strange Luck" on the envelope as it will be sent to the fan mail
department !!!!!!.

Here are the ways to contact Fox:

     Snail Mail

The BEST way to get the attention of Fox executives! Handwritten letters
     carry the most weight!

WRITE TO BOTH THE VP FOR PROGRAMMING AND THE PRESIDENT
OF FOX!!!! LET'S GO ALL OUT THIS TIME!!!!

     Fox Broadcasting Corporation
     Attn: Vice President for Programming
     P.O. Box 900
     Beverly Hills, CA 90213

     and

     John Matioan, President
     Fox Broadcasting Corporation
     P.O. Box 900
     Beverly Hills, CA 90213

And finally there is always the telephone (or cell phone):

          (310) 369-3553

5.3) How can I contact D.B. Sweeney?

               D. B. Sweeney
               c/o William Morris Agency
               151 El Camino Drive
               Beverly Hills, CA 90212

5.4) What exactly do I need to do to help save Strange Luck?

(Editor's Note: The following was taken from Kathleen's SOS-Strange Luck Web page.)

What to Write

I have looked at other web pages devoted to renewing or saving a show
from cancellation and here are some of the suggestions on the best way to get
the attention of executive types at FOX.

          (1) Individual letters carry the most weight. (e-mail and phone calls
are just logged in BUT individual letters are often brought
directly to the attention of TV execs.)

          (2) Handwritten letters are the BEST (Pour your heart out with your
feelings for this show) and don't be afraid to write a long letter!

          (3) Be creative, put something on the letter to call attention to it, "a
lucky four leaf clover". But whatever you do DO NOT put the word
STRANGE LUCK on the envelope, as it will be sent to the fan mail
department - not to the network executives!!!

          (4) Be Polite! Don't be abusive! Remember we want to get their attention
               - but in a positive way!

          (5) Form letters are OK, BUT it is best if a personal note is also written
               on the form letter.

          (6) Write to Fox as often as you can. Remember, Fox intends to make a
decision about renewing STRANGE LUCK in May - so start
               writing now !!!

          (7) What should you include in your letter to FOX?

Demographic information is VERY important to include. What I have
seen in other letters is the following: I am a single/married ___ yr. old
man/woman with ___ kids. (Add your salary, your occupation, your
favorite shows or any other information that would be good to
describe yourself.) It might also help to mention that you plan to
patronize the advertisers on the show.
You should mention how much you like the show, mention specific
things that you like (stories, acting, music, photography etc..)

Tell them that you want them to pick the show up for another
               season.

You might mention that it is a perfect pairing with the X-files.

You might also mention that the show is a good show for the 8 p.m.
"family hour" (this is something that the networks have gotten a lot of
flak about lately - that they don't have any shows at 8 p.m. that can
be viewed by the entire family) STRANGE LUCK is the exception.
Almost all the story lines deal with making the right choices and
moral issues of right and wrong.

You might also mention the following: Viewers for Quality Television
(VQT) recently gave STRANGE LUCK a Qualified Endorsement. VQT
is an national, non- profit organization that was formed in 1984 to
champion the cause of quality in commercial network television. It
annually gives endorsements to those television shows which its
               members feel reflect that quality.

(Also: if you are in the demographic group of males aged 18-34, be sure to make
a note of it, as this is a "target" group, and can help Strange Luck's chances
for renewal.
