Bobby Witt Jr hit .299 with 29 home runs, 61 stolen bases, 118 runs scored and 110 RBI, and Wilyer Abreu hit 29 home runs with 91 RBI. Elly De La Cruz smacked 24 home runs, stolen 41 bases, scored 82 runs and drove in 85. Matt Olson hit 27 home runs with 105 RBI. Kyle Schwarber hit 43 home runs with 114 runs scored and 102 RBI. Jacob deGrom went 15-4 with a 2.54 ERA, and Chris Sale went 10-6. Closer Dennis Santana saved 20 games with a 2.78 ERA and Cole Sands saved 10 games, won another 6 and sported a 2.38 ERA. The Climbers battled the Thunder for the Young division, clinching it in the final week. Vladimir Guerrero Jr hit .332 with 24 home runs, 97 runs scored and 100 RBI, and Manny Machado hit .275 with 31 home runs, 96 runs scored and 106 RBI. Will Smith hit .339 with 15 home runs and 69 runs scored, and Ramon Laureano hit .288 with 20 home runs, 77 runs scored and 77 RBI. Colt Keith added 76 runs scored, and Francisco Lindor hit 21 home runs, stole 25 bases, scored 72 runs and drove in 82. Stephen Kolek went 12-3 with a 2.55 ERA, and Dean Kremer went 10-7 with a 3.06 ERA. Quinn Priester won 3 games in 10 starts with the team, and was 8-8 overall with a 2.84 ERA. California ace Jacob deGrom struggled early, loading the bases in the first inning with 2 outs. But deGrom got Trevor Larnach to ground out to short, escaping the inning with no score. Both starters ended up pitching 6 shutout innings before handing it over to their respective bullpens. 0-0 tie game after 6. In the top of the 7th, Edwin Diaz was pitching for the Climbers. William Contreras hit a leadoff base hit, and Brandon Marsh walked, putting 2 runners on. Steven Kwan singled, and Contreras motored around third to head home. Park City made it 9-6 Coneheads in the 8th when Machado singled, moved to 2nd on a Rooker ground out and scored on a RBI double from Francisco Lindor.
