CFOD teams do not base their salary caps on real life MLB salaries. But what if they did? Below is a
comparison of opening day rosters for CFOD teams with their real-life MLB salaries. Also for comparison
are the actual 2025 team salaries for MLB teams (which includes injured reserve & players in minors that
have major league contracts - but the total amount does vary depending on what source you go with). MLB
salaries calculated using the Labor Relations Department statistics as reported on fangraphs, which takes
into account Shohei Ohtani's "real dollar payroll value" despite most of his salary being deferred.

The leading 390 million dollar payroll Dodgers and leading 292 million dollar payroll of the Arthropods have
one thing in common: Both feature the $70 million dollar salary of Shohei Ohtani. The veteran heavy Piazza's
come in second place with 270 million of MLB salaries. The "early favorite for worst team in the CFOD" Hubris
rank third at 224 million. The most frugal team this year are the Ziggurats, who clock in at nearly 77 million
in MLB salaries - and are still higher than the Athletics or the Marlins.
