This is our mobile clinic, we call her 'Bertha'.
She is a Mobile Veterinary Clinic made from the ground up specifically by Dodgen, a company who has specialized in this for many years.
She has a 'state of the art' German gas anesthesia machine, a digital dental x-ray system, hot and cold running water, refrigerated air, central heat, recovery cages, a small pharmacy..and wheels!! We drive to your home, plug in to an outdoor outlet, come retrieve your pet that needs a procedure, go to the van and get to work!
We use a mild narcotic sedative before anesthesia, and induce anesthesia with Propofol or the gas; then maintain on gas (isoflourane). Yes indeed, the same protocol YOU would get as 'outpatient' surgery). This combination is very safe for your pet, and minimizes an 'anesthetic hangover' and lets me get your pet on it's feet and back in your home safely and quickly.
What can we do?
The other frequent procedure we do is the surgical removal of those all-too-common 'lumps and bumps' our older pets get. If your companion has a 'bump' we'll evaluate it at a house-call/examination, do a fine-needle-aspirate to get a presumptive diagnosis. if it needs to be removed, then we'll schedule a visit in 'Bertha' and get it taken off!
