I love cake decorating and will occasionally make a wedding cake for friends. I learned the basics at local Wilton classes. My kids enjoy playing with it, too, and sometimes have cake decorating birthday parties. They've always used marzipan (almond paste) in their Playdoh molds and we've recently discovered a wonderful source for reproduction molds, House on the Hill.

My other current interest in culinary arts is the study and recreation of foods suitable for the various historical groups I enjoy. Our SCA cooks' group is called Dediti Ventri and we get together to practice reading and translating medieval recipes. We sometimes have the opportunity to prepare the resulting recipes for larger groups of re-enactors. Stefan's Florilegium is a massive reference file on Medieval Subjects, including cooking.
