I used this system for a couple of years. I had a Nikon 8008s with a 36-72mm and a 80-200mm (both MF).
It was a nice system, but I never really felt that it was a good body to match with manual focus lenses. I eventually shipped it into Nikon for a CLA and instead they sent back to me a refurbished N90s!! But by this time, I'd switched to Contax and I never used the N90.
