NCGR CERTIFICATION

The NCGR education program is designed to give structure to astrological studies. We feel this will raise standards of the field for both students and teachers. It is equivalent to a four-year college curriculum leading to a bacculaurate degree.
There are four certification levels of astrological knowledge.

• LEVEL I:    provides the foundation of knowledge of western, or tropical,astrology. Topics include basic astronomy, chart calculation, meanings of planets, signs, houses, major aspects and application of this understanding to chart interpretation.
  
  
• LEVEL II:   builds on the previous material to encompass minor aspects, lunar phases, derived houses, fixed stars, dynamic elements of astrology, such as transits and progressions, and more advanced calculations.
  
  
• LEVEL III:   introduces the 90º and 360º dials, covers horary and electional astrology, synastry, solar and lunar returns, and the history of astrology.
  
  
• LEVEL IV:   consolidates the information gained in the previous levels and adds rectification. Whenever rectification is passed, the student may specialize in consulting, technical research or general research.
