This was just another sightseeing flight, really. You know, your sweetie comes to visit and you ask her to come fly away with you? Well, that's what we did. Since I'm not licensed I have to make it a dual lesson, of course, but we had a nice scenic flight out to the mesas west of Albuquerque. We flew down to within 500'AGL and buzzed some mesas at 200'AGL. We did a couple of touch and goes and got a good glimpse of the Blockbuster Video blimp that was parked at Double Eagle. Very nice flight, and a couple of landings that weren't too embarassing.

But this is likely to be my last lesson. For a while, at least. I can no longer afford to take dual lessons with the hangup of my medical certificate preventing my soloing. But I did get another chance to take the yoke a few years later. Read about it
