University Heights (Neighborhood) Association MINUTES April 4, 1996 I Preliminary Items: A. Call to Order Board Members Present: Larry Neely, Daniel Ivey-Soto, Julie Ahern, Don Hancock, Thayer Nichols, Bob O'Neal Board Members Absent: Bob Anderson, Andy Lenderman B. Introductions C. Approval of Agenda--agenda approved. D. Approval of minutes from 3/7/96 A few minor changes were made. E. Financial Status II ACTION ITEMS--No action items. III DISCUSSION ITEMS: A. Koll Communications presentation, regarding cell tower at Silver and Cornell. B. Lead and Coal: This issue will go through the Planning Commission then to City Council who will give the final vote. City Council probably won't vote until approximately October. Steve Gallegos and Angela Robbins are aware of UHA's position. Ruth Adams' position unknown. C. Graffiti House: February 29 letter received by Mr. Burman and Jana Crane. Waiting two weeks for next action. D. Solid Waste: Have trash dumped by noon, not 9 am, on the 27th only. E. Neighborhood Garage sale--issue passed. F. Sanchez houses: Immediate neighbors want action taken now. The Board asked Larry to write a letter to Mr. Sanchez. IV INFORMATION ITEMS A. President's Report--Larry Neely--issue passed. B. VP's Report--Daniel Ivey-Soto--issue passed. C. Secretary/Treasurer's Report--Andy Lenderman and Bob Anderson--absent. D. Federation of University Neighborhoods, Silver Avenue Advisory Committee--Thayer Nichols--issue passed. E. T-VI Neighborhoods, UNM Campus Planning, Yale Task Force, and Zoning and Variance Committee--Don Hancock. T-VI-- issue passed. Yale Task Force--issue passed. Zoning--322 Stanford was deferred last meeting, but when Don Hancock examined the plans, he felt it was best to take no position. 213 Princeton received a permit after plans approved by the City.
