Whether entertaining
others, or showing in obedience, Bambi could do it all.
Bambi did it all; from entertaining at hospitals,
tracking, doing television commercials to winning High In Trials in obedience
but most importantly she has been my best friend for 16 1/2 years.
Because of her willing attitude and charming personality people were always
drawn to the little white toy poodle and once they knew her they never
forgot her.
She loved everyone, old people, youngsters and especially
the ill and lonely. Because of her love of entertaining I attended
clown school and became Patches the clown. We spent many hours
together making others smile.
I learned many things sharing life with Bambi.
She taught me that dogs "Do Speak English" and that attitude
is everything. She was always willing to try. We experimented
with many ways of doing things and she never gave up on me; accepting that
one day I would finally get it right. Most importantly, Bambi taught
me that you can "TEACH" dogs, you don't have to "TRAIN" them.
Hundreds of dogs that have graduated from West Mesa School for Dogs owe
that philosophy of "teaching" to the little white toy poodle named
Bambi.
Bambi is now jumping through hoops and sitting pretty
for all those that have gone before her. Heaven is a better place because
she is there and someday we will again be together. Bambi, you will
always live in my heart. Thank you for all the memories.... for making
my dreams come true, and for loving me so much.
,
I will hold fast to the memories,
to all the cherished moments
of the past,
to the blessings and the laughter,
the joys and the celebrations,
the sorrows and the tears.
They all add up to a treasure
of fond yesterdays
that we shared and spent together,
and they keep you, my wonderful Bambi,
close in spirit and thought.
The special moments
and memories that we shared
will never change.
They will always be in my heart,
today and forever.
Bambi, I love you.
