Meet Mr. Dickens
Trianne's Don't Toy with
Me, CGC, TT, CD
Dickens is a Papillon, loved, owned
and
taught by Trish Barry.
Dickens was our first pap, but he not our last. What a
delightful
little butterfly dog.
Presently, we are both working very hard in agility and
obedience.
No matter what we are trying to accomplish Dickens is always ready,
willing
and able. Much to my dismay, it was discovered last May that
Dicken's
has a sight problem. We had been having some serious problems
with
jumping, and after checking a complete physical exam it was discovered
the problem is due to a sight problem. We have had to discontinue
working in obedience and agility, but are now tracking and plan to
become
a Pet Therapy Dog in the future.
They say "Wishes are Answered on the Wings of Butterflies" and
we have found this to be so true...

Dickens went over the Rainbow Bridge at age 14 in 2008.
Here is a poem written by Trish's sister-in-law :
Waiting at the Rainbow Bridge, when our earthly journey ends
Are our most beloved pups, our true eternal friends.
Restored to health and vigor as in the prime of life
They romp in fields of clover without pain or strife.
Patient they are and they will wait for an eternity
For our arrival at the place where joy will never cease
For some uncertain reason as part of a great plan
The life of dogs is shorter than the life of man
So puppies need a special spot where they can romp and play
Where lame dogs scamper happily and the old made young and gay.
Then we'll be reunited with our special canine friend
No loneliness or sorrow just our hearts to mend.
We'll cross the bridge together parted never more
As happy true companions pass through Heaven's door.
