3D model of Entrada Park

built by Laura Wilson and Hubert van Hecke

The model is built on a scale of 10 feet to the inch, and measures about 2x2 feet. It was built because of the intricate height contours of the design. The park is contoured such that any rainwater is channeled to where it is needed, and does not run off onto Cerillos.

Cerillos runs along the bottom, Don Diego from top to bottom on the right.

This is a view from Cerillos looking South, towards the sculpture on the NE corner of the park. The sculpture pads are surrounded by flagstone circles, and sitting-height walls. On the bottom left of the picture is the bus pull-out. The bus shelter is not shown. The shelter (not shown here) is the subject of an art competition; It'll be interesting to see how it will turn out. The car is parked in the last slot of the row of parking spaces that we have provided.

This is the view of the NW corner of the park, from the intersection of Cerillos and Don Diego (where the stoplight is). You can see a little hill with the neighborhood entry sign on top.
The crosswalks will be marked more clearly than they are now at this intersection.

This is the view from the highest point of the park looking North. On the left, Don Diego descends toward the stoplight, and on the bottom of the picture is the little road that services the small businesses along the East side of the park.

Another one of the sculpture pads, this one along the Western side of the park.

The model can be viewed City Hall, in the Council Chambers.
