| The Vizcaya apartments are within walking distance of Albertson's
and other businesses to the North. There is an informal path
across the arroyo (red dot).

Looking South
Coming from the North, there is a step down from the
parking lot level (1).
After that, the path slopes gently down.
On the opposite (South) side, there is a gentle slope to
the street level (2). Note that since this is North-facing, snow tends
to stay there longer.
In terms of usability, the biggest obstacle is the ~20" step on
the North side.
A small guerilla action to build some steps would immediately
improve the usability of the trail.
On the other side of the trail, there is a longer, gentle slope. Simple steps built with landscape timbers would work, but is a bigger project. Still not beyond the capability of a volunteer crew.
What about bicycles? A gutter alongside the South stairs would
allow cyclists to walk their bikes up or down the stairs.
This does not work on the North side steps.
But bikes can take the path that angles East and ends up in the
parking lot.

Of course, with a lot more money, a proper bridge could be built.
