John is known to have lived in Philadelphia until 1729 and was in Augusta Co.,
VA in 1750 when he bought 150 acres of land next to Arthur Johnson. His will
dated 4 Sep 1785 in Augusta Co., VA. names only his wife, Agnes, and sons-in-law
Job Reynolds and William Faris. He was still living and taxed on 1 Jun 1787
but died a few months later since his will was proved in Augusta Co. on 16 Oct
1787. His wife, Agnes, and son-in-law, William Faris were named as executors.
