Jacob and his brother, Martin, came from Switzerland to America in the summer of 1737 on the ship, "Virtuous Grace" in company with their step-father, Anthony Keiger, Sr. and his family and Leinert Heyer, Sr. and his family His will was probated 10 Mar 1772 and is recorded at Romney, WV.
