William is buried in the Mill Creek Cemetery. He was killed by Indians and is
listed as a Revolutionary War Veteran by the D.A.R. He was apparently the son
of his father's first wife. It is said that he had an argument with his
step-mother and struck her. As a result, his father promptly shipped him off to
America.
