John & Janice Anthes
Our Anthes Family
currently lives in the beautiful mountain
community of Cedar Crest just east of Albuquerque, NM.
Janice retired from Sun
Microsystem in 2009 and after 38 years with Sandia, John retired at
the end of this year, 2011. He is looking forward to having
more time
to spend on his hobbies and travel. John loves Motorcycles and
has 5 of
them, 4 of which will benefit from his having time to get them running,
while he enjoys long rides on the BMW that runs. John also
has an extensive Antique Radio collection and is active in the local
Antique Radio Club. He can be often found in his shop sprucing up
the radios, most of which he has working and looking almost like
new.
Janice retired after 21 years
with Sun Microsystems. Sun was being
acquired by Oracle and it seemed to 
be the perfect time to say good-bye
and start the next phase of her life. Janice is an avid Dog
enthusiast, active in showing our dogs in Obedience, Agility, Rally and
Conformation in addition to being an AKC Obedience and Rally Judge
approved to judge all levels. She really enjoys traveling around the
country to judge or sometimes compete.
We currently have three dogs, Sparks, a
Flat-coated Retriever, Rowdy, a Shetland Sheepdog
and
Tempe, Sparks daugher and quite a handful. Sparks is currently
working on his UD title and recently moved down to preferred in agility
and is enjoying the lower jump heights. Rowdy earns his name when
Janice says okay on the start line of an agility course, believe it or
not he is faster than Sparks. Tempe just started taking classes
in Conformation and Agility, we have big plans for her.
