| Lay out the dishes, with the cords facing out.
The dishes are 34" in diameter, 3/4" ply, with 2× 3/4"
rims, all edges rounded over.
DXF file of the dishes, all parts fit on one 4×8 sheet. |
|
| Lay the poles
with the feet (the ends connected with rope) near the middle.
The poles are cut from 96" 2×4, rounded over and sanded. |
|
| Spread the feet so that the rope is straight.
Fold the inner or outer pair of legs out to the other side. Make sure the eye bolts of the feet are facing each other. At the top ends, place the carabiner that holds the dish ropes on the bolt, and join the tops of the poles. Finger-tighten the locknuts. On one end, clip the top rope onto the carabiner. |
|
| Tie the temporary yellow rope to the carabiner where the top
rope is attached, and loop it over the top bolt at the opposite end.
By pulling
on this rope, both ends are raised. Use a stepstool for this.
When the dish ropes are straight, wrap the yellow rope around the top a few times so that is does not slip. Grab the loose end of the top rope and clip it to the other carabiner. Remove the temporary rope. |
