Ref. Unpublished manuscript, author unknown: "Peter and his wife were in
a group of 28 that left Pocahontas Co. in 1903. They traveled on a coal
burning train from Ronceverte, WV to Spokane, Washington. The men fanned
out to find the best place to settle, and decided on Farmington, in the
wheat growing area. In the group were Mr. & Mrs. Overhold(t) and their
daughters Nema and Daisy. In 1977, Daisy was the only one of the above
still living."

Guy was associated with his brother Cliff in the garage-trucking busines
in Albany, IN. Ruby was 6 years old when her parents moved to Albany.
Guy and Ruby were living on a small farm during 1918, the year of the
flu. Guy was ill, and Ruby was doing the outside chores. It was cold and
rainy, she became ill and died at the age of 24 yrs, 10 mo, and 8d. She
was interred in the Strong cemetery. There is no marker, but her grave
is on the north side, near the front.
